The Zimbabwe Conference of Information and Communication Technologies (ZCICT) is an ICT conference which was founded by Zimbabwe Information and Communication Technologies (ZICT), the ICT arm of Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers (ZIE). It is registered as a trust under Zimbabwean law and is managed by an all-volunteer board of trustees which consists of representatives of Zimbabwe’s ICT teaching universities and industry. An advisory committee of prominent academic leaders and IEEE Region 8 recommended experts provides oversight over ZCICT.

Having realised that the Zimbabwean computing and information systems disciplines needed a local conference for experts to converge annually, academics and practitioners formed the ZCICT under the technical sponsorship of ZICT and the South African Chapter of IEEE. The goal of ZCICT is to peer review and publish ICT papers under internationally recognised platforms such as IEEE or ACM. While contributions are invited from both local and international authors and reviewers, the key stakeholders are representatives of the Zimbabwean universities who take turns to host the annual conference.

ZCICT is held annually at a different Zimbabwean University on a rotational basis. The hosting universities offer in-kind sponsorships in the form of venue, connectivity and other conferencing services in order to make the registration fees affordable to local authors.

ZCICT has held 3 annual conferences which have been successful published in IEEE Explo and index in Scopus.
